The Dubai Event Security Committee (ESC) has announced full operational readiness for the city’s New Year’s Eve 2026 celebrations, confirming comprehensive plans to manage crowd control, traffic movement, and public safety across the emirate.
Authorities stated that nearly 10,000 police officers will be deployed, supported by patrol vehicles, marine boats, and bicycle units. Dubai Police, Civil Defence teams, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and municipal services will be stationed across key celebration areas, including major landmarks and waterfront destinations.
The security and operational plans cover 40 locations across Dubai, featuring 48 fireworks displays, including iconic sites such as the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Frame. Emergency response units and crowd management measures will remain active throughout the night to ensure public safety and smooth event operations.
Public transport services, including the Dubai Metro, trams, and buses, are expected to operate extended hours to accommodate the large number of residents and visitors. Authorities have urged the public to use public transport where possible, follow official advisories, and cooperate with security personnel to avoid congestion.
Dubai’s New Year’s Eve celebrations attract millions of spectators each year and receive global attention for their scale and precision. Officials emphasized that public safety, smooth mobility, and a positive visitor experience remain top priorities during the festivities.
