Islamic authorities in the United Arab Emirates have confirmed that Friday prayers will be held at 12:45 PM starting January 2, 2026, as part of the country’s seasonal prayer time adjustments.
The updated timing will be implemented across all mosques nationwide, including major cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ajman. The decision follows astronomical calculations that determine prayer schedules based on the sun’s position during different times of the year.
Mosque administrations have been instructed to display the revised timing prominently and announce it to worshippers in advance. Authorities also advised worshippers to arrive early, particularly at large mosques, to allow for smooth entry and congregation flow.
Workplaces and commercial establishments have been encouraged to align Friday prayer breaks accordingly, ensuring employees can attend prayers without disruption.
The revised prayer timing will remain in effect until the next official seasonal update is announced by religious authorities.
